As we close National Soft Pretzel month, we thought we’d share this comic with you for a Monday morning laugh.
At Kim & Scott’s we understand that dieting can be exhausting. Our soft pretzels can be a part of your diet!
Keep an eye out this week for a post on how to integrate pretzels into your diet!
There is no better way to be honored on National Pretzel Day than with a review of our pretzels!
Almanac of Eats took yesterday’s national holiday quite seriously and took to chomping down on some of our pretzels! Here’s our favorite words:
“I couldn’t be more pleased with their Traditional Bavarian Soft Pretzel’s. They are crisp on the outside, while warm and doughy on the inside. The box comes with sea salt, so you have the option of how much (or how little) salt you decorate your pretzel with (people think it’s weird that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE unsalted pretzels)! I’ve had quite the stomachache all day, and these were the perfect “I-don’t-really-feel-like-eating,-but-I-know-I-need-to-nibble-on-something-to-keep-my-strength-up” food tonight. I’m tremendously thankful that I fell flu-y tonight of all nights. So thanks, Kim and Scott’s! A little you, a little ginger ale, a little sleep, and I’ll be on the up-and-up in no time!”
Who knew! Kim and Scott’s Pretzels: the hot item to eat when you don’t feel well!
Check out the rest of Almanac of Eats’ post here. And remember to send us your reviews on your Facebook and Twitter pages. We love hearing from you!
It’s National Pretzel Day!
According to Eatocracy, the pretzel first came to United States thanks to the German immigrants in the 19th century. Handmade pretzel bakeries were found all over the state of Pennsylvania.
It wasn’t until the 20th century that big cities, like Chicago, started to embrace this trend and pretzels began to be mass produced.
Did you know that today, 80% of the nation’s pretzels are produced in Pennsylvania? In 2003, Pennsylvania governor Ed Rendell decreed April 26th to be National Pretzel Day!
Have a twisted day!
Parents, are you looking for a fun and easy birthday party event? Enter the Traveling Twist ‘N Top Party! Kim and Scott’s is taking the Twist ‘N Tops from the Twisting Cafe on the road!
Our Traveling Twist ‘N Top parties enable large and small groups of children to express their creativity. We bring everything necessary to host this empowering and fun experience. A Professor of Pretzels encourages guests to discover the history of the pretzel, while guiding the group through the twists and turns of creating this magical snack.
After participants construct their very own giant pretzel, they paint them with natural food coloring and then apply their final artistic touches with goodies, such as marshmallows, chocolate chips, and cinnamon-sugar.
The pretzels are then packaged with baking instructions and placed along side an activity kit with coloring books, crayons, and their very own baking hat. These young artists will be amazed and proud of their yummy creation. It’s sure to be a unique and twisted experience they will never forget!
