This past weekend we had the chance to participate at Whole Foods Flavor Fest, a great event by Whole Foods featuring some of the brands that Whole Foods carries. We had a booth where we sampled warm pretzels to all of the attendees. We sampled Pizza, Grilled Cheese, Apple Cinnamon, Bavarian, Sourdough Parmesan, and Spinach Feta. We gave away over 10,000 samples! We also had over 70 people sign up for our pretzel club, which will help us to plant over 70 trees! We can’t wait to do it again next year..

Connecting With Our Passionate Pretzel Club
Some of us from Kim & Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels are offsite today, discussing how we can more personally connect with our Pretzel Club members. We’d love to hear your thoughts on all the social media sites, blogs, micro blogs, etc. Even the youngest of us is blown away by the rapid growth of these cyber venues. We are at a very creative place in Chicago called Sip, which is close to our office.

Our Twist ‘N Top is growing!
Recently we had two great Traveling Twist ‘N Top outings. This is when we take our Twist ‘N Top and go mobile, to different places like school groups, summer camps, and parties. We take everything needed to teach kids how to twist, paint, and decorate their own pretzels. We just had a great party for the Skokie Park district where 25 kids joined us to make their pretzels.
The day after that, we did the largest Twist ‘N Top ever, with over 750 kids! We twisted pretzels at JJC’s Apachi Day Camp and it was such a fun time. The kids absolutely loved making them. We’re going to try to go even bigger and maybe even enter the Guiness Book of World Records.
Retro on Roscoe Street Festival
This past weekend we were at part of Retro on Roscoe. Retro on Roscoe was a street festival put on by Star Events and was at Roscoe St. and Damen Ave. We had a space and sold Pizza Pretzels, Grilled Cheese Pretzels, Apple Cinnamon Pretzels, and Traditional Bavarian Pretzels. Its such a great time when we can set up and sell our pretzels to our community. Check out these great photos!
we love giving to a worthy cause
Some of you may not know that we are a company that is grounded in giving back to our community and we are always willing to lend a hand to organizations that share our vision and mission. We think that it would be great to let you know what we’ve been doing recently to further that mission.
During this past month we donated over 250 pretzels to an organization called “Hands of Peace”. The mission of Hands of Peace is to foster long term peaceful coexistence among Jewish-Israelis, Arab Israelis, and West Bank Palestinians by bringing young people from the Middle East together with American teens in an interfaith setting. We donated 200 pretzels for an event they hosted on July 18th and also lunch for all of their students on July 23rd.
We also have a great relationship with a group called “Have a Heart/Adopt A Soldier”. During the past year we’ve sent packages to several of our troops serving overseas. Last week we donated over 100 of our Double Dipped Pretzel Rods to be sent over to the troops.
We’ve also been working with an organization called “Homes for Our Troops”. Through their organization we have donated several Pretzel Packs to veterans who have been injured while in service. We are excited to continue to donate to such a great cause.
We hope that we can continue to help these organizations and others like them and continue to serve our world community.
