Our good friends at RFAK.org – Raising Food Allergic Kids have posted a terrific review about our pretzels! RFAK really shares our company vision to being conscious to the ingredients we use in our products. We have lots of friends whose children deal with severe nut allergies. From the very start of our business, we wanted to ensure kids with nut allergies could safely enjoy our twisted treats and we made a commitment to only make nut free soft pretzels.

We had a blast last week at the annual NRA show held at McCormick Place in Chicago. We love exhibiting at these kind of shows, where we can really meet our pretzel fans face to face. It’s a great opportunity to meet different store and restaurant managers who carry our products, and get a first hand feeling of how Kim and Scott’s Gourmet Pretzels are received. It’s also a great time to meet new store owners and build and grow new opportunities to share our passion and enthusiasm of pretzels! This year was no different. We met some great people and had the opportunity to share our latest creation, PRETZEL BITES! They were the hit of the show. We even got a new pretzel fan that some of you may recognize from TV’s Heroes! Greg Grunberg plays Matt Parkman on the show and he fell in love with our Pizza Pretzel! We can’t wait to come back again next year!
We are! Our office staff has collected cellular phones, clothing, and now – ART SUPPLIES!!!
Did you know that while funding for Schools’ Art Departments through the years, many school teachers buy art supplies out of their own pockets? Knowing this, a local Chicago creative agency created Creative Pitch, who takes donations of anything artsy – gently used paper, paints, pencils, glues, even old office supplies and gives them to local, under funded art teachers right here in Chicago.
We have placed a donation box at the front of our office encouraging our employees to finish up their spring cleaning and donate those crayons, markers, construction paper, etc. We all know what fun having those supplies were for us as kids and want to make sure everyone has the opportunity to be twisted and creative!
We’re just living Pretzels With A Purpose here in Pretzel Land!
I’m in the Green Room at QVC, waiting to go on air (at 1:06PM EST) to sell our Pink Ribbon stuffed gourmet pretzels with 10% of all sales going to breast cancer research. It’s a cause very close to us. My mom, grandmother, and aunt all had breast cancer, and a close friend of ours died at 38. It seems to touch everyone in some way.
We want to do all we can to support breast cancer research and twist for the cure. It’s a big part of our Pretzels for Peace initiative. I have two daughters, ages 9 and 6…and it’s my hope that breast cancer will be non-existent by the time they’re grown up.
The Pink Ribbon pretzel is our Cinnamon Roll pretzel, a sweet dough stuffed with butter, cinnamon, sugar and topped with a cinnamon crumb topping and drizzled. and topped with a natural pink icing. This is one of my favorites… AND for such great cause! It’s all part of our committment to live pretzels with a purpose. Watch at 1:06PM EST!
